Join us for a relaxed summer evening at the Trend Arlington Pavilion for an adults-only wine tasting event hosted by local sommelier Mike Catana of Somm Grape Pairings.

Guests will enjoy a guided tasting experience featuring thoughtfully selected wines paired with light snacks in the beautiful pavilion setting. Whether you’re a longtime wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun evening out with neighbours, this will be a welcoming and social event with plenty of opportunities to sip, snack, and connect.

You’ll be guided through a deeply relaxing practice, infused with the radiant and uplifting energy of summer—a time for expansion, joy, and growth. Let the soothing sounds wash over you like a warm summer breeze, leaving you feeling refreshed, restored, and fully alive.

This 1hr class is being offered by donation to the Trend Arlington Community Association (TACA). Suggested donation is $10 but any amount you give is greatly appreciated. Cash or e-transfer will be collected at the event.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you are “bathed” in sound waves. The sound waves are produced by various healing instruments but the waves don't necessarily have a catchy melody or rhythm like you may have experienced at a concert or listening to the radio. Instead, they are a carefully selected wash of instruments with notable resonance and overtones aiming to help ease listeners into a meditative state and help balance their energy. Let your mind drift away to the beautiful sounds of crystal singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks, bells, shakers, drum, gong, and more. Sound baths can be a great way to relieve stress and tension. They create an ideal environment for deep healing of the body, mind, & spirit! The evening will start with a guided meditation to help ease you into the experience. No experience needed. Everyone is welcome, come as you are.

What to bring?

Yoga mat, pillow, blanket, and anything else you need to be cozy and comfortable when lying down. If you would prefer to sit, you are welcome to bring a small folding chair or stool.

Founder of Ottawa Community Energy Healing (OCEH), Usui & Shamanic Reiki Practitioner, Sacred Sound Healing Practitioner, 25hr YIN + Aromatherapy, Certified Master Life Coach, & Death Doula (In-Training).

Clare grew up in the Arlington Woods neighbourhood on Parkland Cres. Shortly after moving out of her parents home in her early 20s, she returned to this area she loved so much to buy her first home.

Clare has been on a wellness & spiritual path for many years. Looking to share her passion and gifts with others, she launched Ottawa Community Energy Healing in Spring 2024. Everyone’s income is different and Clare recognizes the need for energy healing services to be more affordable & accessible. By offering services through her clinic using a sliding scale payment system as well as collaborating with other local businesses and organizations, Clare aims to open the door wider so that more people can not only begin but also continue on their healing journey.

TACA Community Bike Ride

TACA Community Bike Ride 🚲🌿

We’re doing it again! Join us for another TACA community bike ride, this time with a scenic loop through some of Ottawa’s best pathways.

📅 Saturday, May 9
🕙 10:00 a.m. start
📍 Meet at 50 Bellman Drive

We’ll ride as a group along the Centrepointe and Pinecrest Creek pathways, make our way to the Ottawa River, loop through Bayview, Dow’s Lake, and the Experimental Farm, and head back home. The full route is about 40 km at a relaxed, social pace.

This is a casual, no-pressure ride. It’s all about getting outside, being active, and connecting with neighbours.

🧺 What to bring:

  • A snack or picnic lunch

  • Water

  • A bike in good working condition and a helmet

We’ll take a longer break of about 30 to 45 minutes partway through to relax and eat, plus a few shorter stops along the way.

🚦 Riding together:

We’ll keep things simple and safe:

  • Ride at a comfortable group pace

  • Use basic hand signals for stopping and turning

  • Keep an eye out for each other

No strict rules, just shared awareness and consideration for the group.

Whether you’re a regular rider or just getting back on your bike, you’re welcome to join.

No sign-up required. If you can, let us know on Facebook if you’re coming, but feel free to decide last minute.

We’ll keep an eye on the weather and post an update if we need to cancel. No rain date planned.

• Release tight and stiff muscles

• Improve fascia mobility

• Activate weak muscles

• Improve breathing mechanics

• Reduce stress caused by repetitive jobs or sports

This is not just stretching. It’s a structured reset for your fascia, muscular and nervous system.

Bring:

• Your Yoga mat

• Water bottle

You must be able to get down to the floor and back up. Please, bring your foam roller if you have one. Lacrosse ball will be provided by the instructor.

TACA Winter Carnival Cookie Bake-Off — Bring Us Your Best Batch!
Saturday, January 25 · Judging at 2:30 p.m. · Trend Arlington Pavilion

Think you’ve got the best cookies in Trend Arlington? Now’s your chance to prove it!

As part of our annual Winter Carnival, we’re hosting a Cookie Bake-Off right inside our brand-new pavilion. We’re inviting neighbours of all ages to put on their aprons, fire up their ovens, and enter their very best winter cookie creation.

How it works:
• Bring a baker’s dozen (13 cookies) for judging
• Drop them off at the pavilion by 3:00 p.m.
• Judging begins at 3:30 p.m. inside the community centre with a very special guest: City Councillor Sean Devine
• One talented baker will be crowned our 2026 TACA Cookie Champion!

The Prize:
