Trend - Arlington Community Outdoor Rink Schedule

The outdoor rink is operated by Trend-Arlington Community Association (TACA). See the Schedule for availability times and designated users. Weather and funding permitting the rink will be open to mid-March.

The rink closes daily at 9:15 PM, and lights are on from dusk to 9:30 pm.

Our goal is to have a safe and fun rink experience for everyone, so please read abide by the time slots for each activity.

Remember that for younger children, it can be very intimidating when hockey/shinny is going on. In order for all groups to have a safe and fun time on the ice, please observe the schedule.

After snow falls greater than 2 inches (5 cm) the rink may be closed for clearing for up to 24 hours. Please help to shovel and scrape the ice. Shovels are located inside the community building.

Reminders

We want people to have fun, so here are a few rules for using our facility:

• PUBLIC SKATING means ABSOLUTELY NO STICKS/PUCKS
• Family means KIDS Hockey only (Parent Allowed with Children)
• Shinny means SHINNY HOCKEY = ALL AGES
• All other times - the rink is open with no supervision & no change room
• PLEASE HELP US SHOVEL - IT IS YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD RINK

If you would like to reserve our rink for a special occasion, a permit is required at least 6 days prior to the event. Permits are available by contacting yje Rink manager

Rink volunteers needed

The outdoor rink operations urgently require additional volunteers able to devote an hour or two a week. For high school students, helping out with the rink is an excellent opportunity to earn volunteer hours; for parents, contributing your time will help ensure proper supervision of the rink operations. If you can contribute a little (or a lot) of your time, please call the Association at 613.828.3460 or the Rink Volunteer Coordinator .
