Community Centre Rental Rates

The TACC has several rooms that are available for renting. Please fill-in the rental form and e-mail the completed MS Word form to TACA building coordinator All rates as of 2011-11-21 are subject to change

Cost Example

For example, a TACA member can hold a birthday party for twenty 8 year olds & guardians in the Community Room and it will cost $75/half day for room, $27.00 for insurance and $10 for kitchen. 

Rink Rental (Maximum of 30 skaters, but NO tables, chairs or alcohol)

The rink may be rented only during off hours (rink not officially open to public). A TACA Rink Attendant must be present at a cost of $15 per hour. Contact our TACA Rink Director, Trevor or call 613 828-3460. You will also need to complete a City permit request form on the City Website

CONDITIONS

    If Contract Holder decorates for an event, NO tape of any kind shall be used on walls. Please use white Instant Tack. At the end of the event, please leave the building as clean as you found it. The Contract Holder shall: wipe all chairs & tables; return chairs & tables correctly back in rooms where they were found; remove any decorations; sweep and/or mop floors; insure all garbage is taken with Contract Holder, secure the building, and return keys to Building Coordinator or Access Management Holder.
     For teen events, over 12 years of age, such events require two off duty police constable’s at a fee of $155.00/hr plus rental/insurance fees  and security deposit.
     For alcoholic events with teens of age (no minors present), one constable and one sergeant are required. Also, for these events a Liquor Licence must be obtained prior to the event.

 

PAYMENTS



    For payment, three cheques or cash must be provided. One cheque for the room rental and kitchen fees (for TATC), one for the insurance (for Pearson-Dunn Insurance) and a security deposit ($200 certified cheque, money order or cash) one week prior to an event is required.  Your Security Deposit may be forfeited if the above conditions are not completed. Charges towards the Security Deposit shall be based on $200 for lost keys, $20 for each garbage bag left behind and a rate of $40/hour for any required work. Required work includes sweeping, cleaning or arranging equipment that takes more than 10 minutes of TACA volunteer’s time.

Routine bookings include:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 am to noon by the City of Ottawa, Community Room.
  • Second Saturday of each month, all day by the TA Scrapbooking, Community Room.
